About Us

BearPaws Environmental Consulting was established in 2012 by the husband and wife team, of Barrett & Christina Stejskal. Our goal is to provide our services in a timely, professional, and economically feasible fashion.

The assistance we provide includes a wide array of environmental services. With Barrett and Christina both being born and raised in southwest Florida, their experience and familiarity with south Florida has provided added expertise specific to this area.  The advantages of being Floridians ranges from specific knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area, to a familiarity with the needs and requirements of the local governmental agencies, as well as each of the regulatory agencies.

We have provided environmental consulting services for an extensive number of projects.  Most of our projects include single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial, and industrial, with also some agricultural, and governmental activities. The range in scope of services has been from minor general permits, to full environmental services for major projects. 

Barrett and Christina met while attending Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. Barrett graduated in 2002 with a bachelor's degree with concentrations in both Environmental Studies and Biology. Christina graduated in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies. Their passion for helping others, as well as their love of animals, the outdoors, and the southwest Florida ecosystem, has led them into this field and guided them to choosing this as a career path.
